How to get along with difficult person

Everyone has their difficult person to get along with. I found an interesting site which tells us 5 points not to have that kind of person.

1. Think as if I were in their shoes.
2. Put their negative points into positive phrase (reframing!).
3. Get the situation as a game.
4. Change myself before expect their change.
5. Think businesslike.

Well, it's easier said than done...
