Gov't plans global promotion of animation etc
A government task force on intellectual property rights has compiled a draft plan to promote wider exports of Japanese culture, including animation and music (NHK news).

Mr. Aso remains as a Foreign Minister who understands the importance of content industries including manga and anime, so he would play an influencial role in this intellectual property strategic program.
I lacked ability to relate content industry and Otaku culture, and take it as gov't actual plans at the last dramatic debate class... That was above my head too much.
